Smt. Kavita Daga
Smt. Kavita Daga is the pioneer of the contemporary RamLekhan Kala movement. Remarkably, she did not pursue drawing or painting for the first 49 years of her life. Inspired by the lifelong Ramnaam-writing discipline of her mother-in-law and the spiritual devotion of her mother, she began experimenting with creating small images using the written name of Rama. What started as a personal expression of faith gradually evolved into a distinctive artistic and devotional practice that she describes as a blend of "अद्वितीय भक्ति-साधना" (a unique devotional discipline) and "कलात्मक सृजन" (artistic creation).
Over the last several years, she has created more than 600 RamLekhan artworks and conducted over 100 workshops across cities including Kolkata, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Bikaner, Nagpur, Indore, Ujjain, Chennai, Salem, Madurai, Raipur, and many others—sharing this unique art form with participants of all ages.
